Quick install steps: The easiest way to install is through the Linux command-line. First, download SFN_2007_Linux.tar.gz to a convenient location, such as your home directory. From a command-line window, change into the directory where the file was copied: $ cd ~ Extract the file: $ tar -xvf SFN_2007_Linux.tar.gz Then after the extraction process is complete: $ cd SFN_2007_Linux/ $ ./Desktop\ Planner The above set of commands will be adequate to get the SfN Desktop Planner software running on most modern Linux distributions. In order to view PDF files in the Additional Resources menu, make sure you have a PDF viewer installed. Most Linux distributions come pre-packaged with xpdf which will suffice.
